Traveltek is delighted to announce a new partnership with The Impulse Travel Group. The family-owned and managed travel business has been operating since 1989 and encompasses several specialist wholesale travel brands – Momento Travel Services, Above and Beyond Holidays, Adriatica, The Small Ship Adventure Company and a new brand – Paradise Discovered – specialising in the South Pacific.
The Impulse Travel Group operates on the basis that every travel experience is individual, and the process of researching and booking a holiday should be a seamless experience while being guided and supported with high-quality service from well-travelled specialist travel advisers.
Last year the Impulse Travel Group realised that they needed to invest in new technology platforms for the business to compete efficiently and cost-effectively but continue to deliver the high level of customer service for which they are renowned.
As a member of the Council of Australian Tour Operators (CATO), Impulse utilised their membership to source an approved technology provider that was customer service-centric and could provide a partnership technology journey. Traveltek has been a member and supporter of CATO for several years, and via CATO the connection was made. So the rest as they say is history!
Through a consultative and partnership approach, Impulse Travel has purchased Traveltek’s award-winning search and book product – iSell, their powerful mid-office system – iBos, inventory management tool – Supplytek and advanced tour packaging product – Tourtek. As a result, this technology meets their current and future needs as the business grows.
Rebecca Esterhuizen, Head of APAC, said ‘It has been a fantastic experience working with The Impulse Travel Group. First, through our consultative approach, we identified Impulse Travel Group’s pain points. Then, we recommended which technology products would alleviate these problems and allow them to easily scale up the business in the post-COVID era. I am a strong believer in the power of partnerships, and working closely with CATO has provided Traveltek with new communication channels to reach new potential customers”.
Stephanie Savage, Owner/Managing Director of the Impulse Travel Group, added, ‘The ONLY good thing about the COVID journey has been our decision to acquire our new Traveltek technology platform. Our wholesale staff have undergone extensive training. The transition from our previous system to Traveltek has been helped immeasurably by the competence and assistance of various Traveltek staff – some of whom stayed up late or woken up early – while we did our Zoom training sessions beamed in from the U.K. My staff and I look forward to a mutually beneficial collaboration with Traveltek well into the future”.
Brett Jardine, Managing Director, CATO, commented ‘Considering future business needs through investment in relevant technology is a pro-active approach to ensuring you are ready for a strong rebound as we start to emerge from the effects of COVID-19.’
